As we head into our final week before submission , team Spiekerman had a team meeting to finalise our end of season review page spreads. We spent a number of hours making quick progress on the final touches to each spread and giving each other feedback as we worked.

During this session the spread I’ve been working on went through a number of changes. It helped for the team to look at them with fresh eyes and notice errors I hadn’t noticed and get their opinions.

The team thought the black text didn’t read that well against the photographic background, so we changed it to just a stroke. They also suggested that we centre the ‘GOAL’ text, so I tried this.
The team then thought it would fill the page better if I removed one letter from each line of the ‘GOAL’ text and increase the size. Also they advised to increase the stroke weight to make it more legible.

We also changed the order of spreads so we have a better flow of text.
