After creating my mind map which helped me evaluate who I am as a person and designer. I began to pick out words which could create visuals for my logo.

The way in which I generate concepts as a designer is by making connections between things to form a coherent outcome, a process I have learnt through my experience at university. I began to think about how I could represent this in my logo. I thought about the word ‘and’ used to connect words and the symbol used to represent it.

I began to research this symbol which is known as an ampersand. Visually I noticed similarities between the symbol and the letter e, which sparked the idea that I could combine the ampersand and the letter e to form a monogram logo for my personal brand. It would also help me convey more meanings such as the fact I’m a versatile designer and also am open to creative collaboration, as the ‘&’ is often used in industries to indicate partnerships.

My next step was to draw out how this monogram logo could look.
